Appeal for support- Flash Flood in Bhotekoshi River of Nepal
Appeal for Support
On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, at around 8:40 a.m., a flash flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district of Nepal caused significant loss of life and property. The flood has affected the riverside areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and other districts.
Immediately following the flood, the Government has intensified rescue, search and relief operations in the affected areas. The process of collecting details of the human and physical losses caused by the flood is currently underway. Those affected by this disaster are in need to be immediately relocated to safe places. At the same time, it is equally important to ensure their long-term rehabilitation and resettlement.
For this purpose, the Government of Nepal has appealed to all to extend financial support to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, maintained at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Therefore, the Embassy sincerely requests all individuals, organizations, businesspeople, and well-wishers of Nepal to extend financial support to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund through the below links or tranferring the funds through SWIFT to the accounts mentioned in the attached page.
