4th Constitution Day and National Day Celebrated

The Embassy of Nepal in Seoul celebrated the 4th Constitution Day and National Day of Nepal by hosting a reception program on 20 September 2019. On the occasion,Mr. Ram Singh Thapa,Chargé d’Affairesa.i., delivered his address highlighting the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal and underlining its role in creating necessary infrastructures for federal Nepal.

CDA Mr. Thapa underscored the political stability and high economic growth being achieved after the formation of stable Government in central, province and local level under the new constitution.
Expressing thanks for the development assistance extended by the Republic of Korea, Mr. Thapa also stated that as Nepal is marching forward in achieving high socio-economic development goals including the SDGs and graduation from LDC status, Nepal expects more valuable assistance and investments from the Republic of Korea in its future development endeavors.

On the occasion, Labour CounsellorMr. Dilli Ram Banstola delivered welcome speech. Honorary Consul of Nepal Dr. Sung-do Yoon and NRNA Korea Chair Mrs. Laxmi Lama Gurung delivered their congratulatory remarks.

The program was conducted by First Secretary Mr. Uddav Neupane.
At the reception program, “Visit Nepal Year 2020” promotional banners, posters were exhibited; brochures, pamphlets, postcards, labour related printouts were distributed, too.

Nepali dances and songs were performed by Nepali artists during the program.

Diplomats, Honorary Consuls, Nepali students and government officials in the Republic of Korea, representatives of conglomerates and private companies, security personnel and representatives from Nepalese diaspora in the Republic of Korea were present during the program.

Chancery Building was illuminated for three days on the occasion of the Constitution Day and National Day.
